Tehran Int’l Short Film Festival announces fiction lineup

Tehran Int'l Short Film Festival in Iran shortlists 67 fictions to vie at national competition.

The 36th Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) in Iran has shortlisted 67 fiction short films to compete at its national competition section.

The 67 titles were selected from a total of 1021 films submitted to the festival.

‘Exam’ by Sonia Haddad, Armin Pourmohamad’s ‘Rhino’ and 'Magralen' directed by Maryam Zarei are among the selected films.

Earlier this week, the selection committee for the festival’s national competition section was announced.

Mir-Dowlat Mousavi, Kaveh Qahreman, Bahman Ark, Reza Fahimi, Noushin Meraji, Kamran Rezaee, Omid Shams, Ali-Mohammad Qasemi, Shahriyar Pour-Seyyedian and Kaveh Sajjadi-Hosseini are the members of the committee.

Organized by the Iranian Youth cinema Society, the Tehran International Short Film Festival is held every year in October. It is one of the oldest short film festivals in Iran and the region.

The TISFF is a member of the International Short Film Conference (ISFC), according to the festival’s website.

The 36th Tehran International Short Film Festival will take place on November 9-15, 2019.
